Infant's Heart Stopped Beating For 40 Minutes

A 1-year-old baby in Jinan, Shandong province,cheated death and is now healthy after doctors said her heart stopped beating for about 40 minutes.

One morning in January,Ling Ling became pale and was taken to an army hospital where doctors said her heart was beating at 250 beats per minute while the normal rate should be 100 times per minute.

She was diagnosed with pneumonia and other problems.

While receiving first aid,Ling stopped breathing and her heart stopped beating twice.One time,it stopped for 40 minutes.After a 12-hour operation, Ling is doing well.
