The photos highlight Confucius' family life, featuring the revered thinker (played by Chow Yun-Fat), his wife Qi Quan (Zhang Kaili), daughter Kong Rao (Chen Rui) and son Kong Li (Qiao Zhenyu).
Director Hu Mei has said she intended to portray Confucius not only as a sage, but also as an ordinary man.
The biopic is slated for release early next year.
