Koichi Wakata, a Japanese astronaut to live on the International Space Station, is testing the underwear created by textile experts at Japan Women's University in Tokyo.It is designed to kill bacteria, absorb water, insulate the body and dry quickly.It also is flame-resistant, and anti-static, not to mention comfortable and stylish.
The Japanese space agency plans to make the clothes available to NASA and its other space station partners once development is complete.A commercial line also is in the offing.News link

Brother Industries Ltd will release the "Brother Document Viewer SV-100B," an information terminal equipped with an electronic paper module, in Japan June 1, 2009.The SV-100B is 15.5mm thick and weighs about 600g.Document data is stored in a 2-Gbyte microSD card.Its battery can run the terminal for about 83 hours.It features a 9.7-inch electronic paper module with a resolution of 1,200 x 825 pixels.
